"Taylor is always someone the NFL wants for the halftime show, but it will be her decision - and her decision only - whether she ever wants to do it and when she would like to do it," the insider in question tells theDaily Mail. "Everyone will drop what they are doing and whoever they have asked if Taylor wants to do it. If she wants to do it, she will do it. It is as simple as that. But there are a handful of reasons she will not be doing it next year."

Specifically: the fact that it's on Valentine's Day, the fact that Travis might be playing, and the venue.

"The reason that Taylor isn't interested in doing it yet is because, for one, it falls on Valentine's Day," the source adds. "She would only like to be at the game next year if Travis is playing in it. Otherwise she will be a recent newlywed and would rather enjoy time with him than to perform on a day meant for love. If she were to also do it in the future, she would want Travis to be retired. Taylor also doesn't need to do it, but she knows that it would be a great thing for her legacy that is already concrete. But she has a few other milestones that she wants to achieve before doing the Super Bowl - marriage, family and all the important things in life."

As for the venue, her "dream stadium" is a place that's meaningful to her. "She would be interested in doing it in a place like Nashville if they ever get a Super Bowl," the source says. "The likelihood of that happening is pretty good as the Titans are meant to have a new stadium completed in 2027. The NFL hasn't announced where the Super Bowl will be held after the next two but Nashville is well-poised and ready to receive one and she would like to do it there."

In other words, don't count on Taylor playing the Super Bowl next year...but keep an eye out.

Shia LaBeoufhas been arrested while celebrating Mardi Gras in New Orleans.

TheTransformersactorwasdetained shortly after midnight Tuesdayafter an alleged brawl outside a bar in the French Quarter, the New Orleans Police Department said in a statement shared withThe Independent.

According to police, the 39-year-old was charged with two counts of simple battery and remains in a Louisiana jail after receiving medical attention from paramedics.

Police said LaBeouf was acting "aggressive" at a bar on Royal Street, leading a staff member to kick him out of the building. Once outside, LaBeouf allegedly punched a man with closed fists several times. LaBeouf then left the area but came back, "acting even more aggressive," police said.

"Multiple people attempted to hold [LaBeouf] down — he was eventually let up in the hopes that he would leave — but he reportedly again struck the same victim with closed fists to the victim's upper body," police said. He then allegedly assaulted another person by punching him in the nose and was held down until police arrived.

LaBeouf, who has previously said he was sober aftermultiple rehab treatments,had reportedly been partying in the city for days leading up to his arrest. A bartender who served thecontroversial former child staron Thursday toldThe Hollywood Reporter: "He is terrorizing the city!"

Other bartenders and patrons told the outlet that LaBeouf was "inebriated" and "belligerent" throughout the weekend, as he was spotted at several bars across the city throughout Mardi Gras weekend.

His representatives did not immediately returnThe Independent's request for comment.

LaBeouf is known for his publicly erratic behavior and has a history of legal issues, including a2020 lawsuit filed by his ex-girlfriend FKA Twigsthat alleged sexual battery, assault and emotional abuse. The lawsuit was settled in July 2025.

TheHolesstar was first arrested in2014 on charges of disorderly conduct, harassment and criminal trespassduring a Broadway performance of Cabaret, leading to him seeking treatment for alcoholism. He pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct at the time and the other charges were dropped.

Three years later, LaBeouf was arrested in Savannah, Georgia, for public intoxication, disorderly conduct and obstruction. Bodycam footage from the incident showed LaBeoufmaking racial outbursts during his arrest,which he later attributed to his alcoholism. After pleading no contest to disorderly conduct, LaBeouf was sentenced to one year probation andordered to seek anger management and substance use treatment.

LaBeouf's most recent arrest was in 2020, when he was charged with misdemeanor battery and petty theft and pleaded not guilty. The charges were dropped after he completed a court-ordered diversion program.

In the upcoming bookWilliam and Catherine, The Monarchy's New Era: The Inside Story, out March 10, Russell Myers writes that Princess Kate, 44, and Prince William, 43, "spent hours" researching names for their first baby. The royal couple did not learn their child's sex before birth, theBBCreported, and the biography claims that they struggled to agree on names.

According to excerpts published inThe Mirroron Feb. 17, Kate was keen on Alexander or Alexandra, while William wanted to include a tribute to his late mother,Princess Diana, if they had a girl.

"Catherine had her heart set on Alexander for a boy or Alexandra (alsoQueen Elizabeth's middle name) for a girl. William had privately voiced his preference for having a girl, and was keen to incorporate a tribute to his late mother, most likely in the form of a middle name," Myers writes inWilliam and Catherine.

Kate reportedly ran name ideas by some of her close friends who were also moms, and a pal gave her and William a name book for inspiration.

"The couple had been given a book of baby names by a close friend, which they spent hours thumbing through — they often ended up in fits of laughter after one or the other had presented a more left-field suggestion," Myers writes.

Having fun with the process, the author says that Prince William would surprise his press team by suggesting unexpected names. Myers writes that William would begin meetings by asking, "What do you think about Rodney for a boy, or maybe Graham?" and pause for a response before erupting in laughter.

According to the author, William eventually chose two top boy names: George and Louis.

The royal family expanded when William and Kate's first child, a son, was born on July 22, 2013, and they named him George Alexander Louis. George may be a tribute to Queen Elizabeth's beloved father, who was King George VI, who helped lead Britain through World War II and died unexpectedly at age 54 in 1952 following health complications.

The couple's second child, daughter Charlotte Elizabeth Diana, arrived on May 2, 2015, and they became a family of five when son Louis Arthur Charles was born on April 23, 2018. The suspected shooter whoopened fire at a high school hockey gamein Rhode Island, killing two victims and seriously wounding three others, has been identified by police.

On Monday, Feb. 16, at around 2:30 p.m. local time, Robert Dorgan, who also goes by the name Roberta, fired shots during their son's hockey game at the Dennis M. Lynch Arena in Pawtucket, according to CBS Rhode Island affiliateWPRI-TV. Police identified the suspected shooter following the incident.

The mother of the hockey player was killed at the rink, while his sibling died at the hospital, the station reported, citing multiple sources with direct knowledge of the situation.

As well as the two victims, the suspect died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound at the scene, according toABC News.

A family friend and two other family members were also injured in the attack, per WPRI-TV.

While speaking to reporters on Monday, Pawtucket Police Chief Tina Goncalves said that the three injured in the attack remain in critical condition, according to a clip shared byWBZ-TV's CBS Boston.

She declined to disclose further information about the victims, perCBS News. Goncalves said that the shooter went to the arena on Monday to watch the hockey game, which a family member was playing in.

The police chief confirmed in a news conference that the incident is believed to have been a "family dispute" and "targeted event," per CBS Boston.

She praised a witness for helping amid the tragedy. "A Good Samaritan stepped in and interjected in this scene, and that's probably what led to a swift end of this tragic event," the police chief told reporters.

According toWPRI-TV, court records show that the suspected shooter had a history of family disputes and alleged conflicts over their gender identity.

The Pawtucket Police Department said of the shooting in a statement shared onFacebook, "The City of Pawtucket stands with those affected by the tragic shooting at the Dennis M. Lynch Arena."

"We understand that many in our community are experiencing shock, fear, and anxiety due to this violence," police added.

"To support those impacted, the City is working with local partners and mental health professionals to provide counseling and support services. We encourage players, students, families, and staff to seek help during this difficult time," the statement concluded.

Pawtucket Mayor Donald Grebien called the incident "a terrible tragedy" in a statement released by the cityon Xon Monday.

"What should have been a joyful occasion, with dozens of families, students, and supporters gathered to celebrate Senior Night for the BVS (Blackstone Valley Schools) cooperative hockey team during a high school matchup against the Coventry-Johnston cooperative team, was instead marked by violence and fear," the statement read.

"Our prayers go out to the victims, their families, and everyone impacted by this devastating incident," the mayor said, thanking first responders and public safety officials for their help amid the incident.

"Pawtucket is a strong and resilient community, but tonight we are a city in mourning," Grebien insisted in the post. "We will stand together to support all those affected in the difficult days ahead, and we will keep the public updated as confirmed facts become available."

The Rhode Island Judiciary and the Pawtucket Police Department didn't immediately respond when contacted by PEOPLE for additional information.

GENEVA, Feb 17 (Reuters) - Iran and the United States reached an understanding on Tuesday on main "guiding principles" in talks aimed at resolving their longstanding nuclear dispute, but that does not mean a deal is imminent, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said.

Oil futures fell and the benchmark Brent crude contract tumbled more than 1% ‌after Araqchi's comments, which helped ease fears of conflict in the region, where the U.S. has deployed a battle force to press Tehran for concessions.

"Different ideas have been presented, ‌these ideas have been seriously discussed, ultimately we've been able to reach a general agreement on some guiding principles," Araqchi told Iranian media after the talks concluded in Geneva.

BOTH SIDES HAVE 'CLEAR NEXT STEPS'

The indirect discussions between U.S. Special Envoy Steve Witkoff ​and U.S. President Donald Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner, alongside Araqchi, were mediated by Oman. The White House did not respond to emailed questions about the meeting.

Oman's Foreign Minister Badr al-Busaidi said in a post on X "much work is yet to be done" but Iran and the U.S. were leaving with "clear next steps" .

Just as talks began on Tuesday, Iranian state media said Iran would temporarily shut part of the Strait of Hormuz, a vital global oil supply route, due to "security precautions" while Iran's elite Revolutionary Guards conducted military drills there.

Tehran has in the past threatened to shut down the strait to commercial shipping if it is attacked, ‌a move that would choke off a fifth of global oil flows ⁠and drive up crude prices.

Responding to comments by Trump that "regime change" in Iran might be the best course, the country's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, 86, warned that any U.S. attempts to depose his government would fail.

"The U.S. President says their army is the world's strongest, but the strongest army in ⁠the world can sometimes be slapped so hard it cannot get up," he said, in comments published by Iranian media.

Speaking at a disarmament conference in Geneva after the talks, Araqchi said that a "new window of opportunity" had opened and that he hoped discussions would lead to a "sustainable" solution that ensured the full recognition of Iran's legitimate rights.

Earlier, Trump said he himself would be involved "indirectly" in the Geneva talks and that he believed Tehran wanted ​to ​make a deal.

"I don't think they want the consequences of not making a deal," Trump told reporters aboard Air ​Force One on Monday. "We could have had a deal instead of sending the ‌B-2s in to knock out their nuclear potential. And we had to send the B-2s."

The U.S. joined Israel last June in bombing Iranian nuclear facilities. The U.S. and Israel believe Iran aspires to build a nuclear weapon that could threaten Israel's existence. Iran says its nuclear programme is purely peaceful, even though it has enriched uranium far beyond the purity needed for power generation, and close to what is required for a bomb.

IRAN SAYS IT WILL ONLY DISCUSS NUCLEAR PROGRAMME

Since those strikes, Iran's Islamic rulers have been weakened by street protests, suppressed at a cost of thousands of lives, against a cost-of-living crisis driven in part by international sanctions that have strangled Iran's oil income.

Washington has sought to expand the scope of talks to non-nuclear issues such as Iran's missile stockpile. Tehran says it ‌is willing only to discuss curbs on its nuclear programme - in exchange for sanctions relief - and that it will ​not give up uranium enrichment completely or discuss its missile programme.

Khamenei reiterated Iran's position that its formidable missile stockpile is ​non-negotiable and missile type and range have nothing to do with the United States.

A ​senior Iranian official told Reuters on Tuesday the success of the Geneva talks hinged on the U.S. not making unrealistic demands and on its seriousness on lifting ‌the crippling sanctions on Iran.

U.S. B-2 BOMBERS STRUCK NUCLEAR TARGETS

Tehran and Washington ​were scheduled to hold a sixth round of talks ​in June last year when Washington's ally Israel launched a bombing campaign against Iran, and was then joined by U.S. B-2 bombers that struck nuclear targets. Tehran has since said it has halted uranium enrichment activity.

Iran has joined the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, which guarantees countries the right to pursue civilian nuclear power in return for requiring them to forgo atomic weapons ​and cooperate with the U.N. nuclear watchdog, the International Atomic Energy ‌Agency.

Israel, which has not signed the NPT, neither confirms nor denies having nuclear weapons, under a decades-old ambiguity policy designed to deter surrounding enemies. Scholars believe it does.

NAIROBI, Kenya (AP) — Operations at Kenya's main airport are set to resume and return to normal after workers on Tuesday called off a two-day strike after reaching an agreement with the transport ministry.

Operations at Nairobi's Jomo Kenyatta International Airport were paralyzed on Monday, with flight delays of up to six hours, as airlines urged passengers to rebook their travel.

The Kenya Civil Aviation Authority in a statement said operations would resume immediately after a return-to-work agreement was reached with the trade union Tuesday.

The union was demanding better working conditions, pay, and benefits, and discussions on how their demands would be met were held on Tuesday.

The airport is a major transport hub for regional and international travel.

Transport Minister Davies Chirchir reiterated the government's commitment to ensure the aviation sector remains stable.

Kenya Airways, in a statement, said it was in the process of normalizing the schedule and that "normal operations will resume within the next 24 hours."

Airport workers issued a strike notice last week after authorities failed to implement part of an agreement with the union. The agreement demanded better labor conditions as well as increased pay and benefits.

Saxon had previously sued the "Runaway" rapper, claiming West hired him in September 2021 as project manager and full-time security for his Malibu property.

In the lawsuit, Saxon alleged that West made him work 16 hours a day with no proper rest or basic facilities. He even shared that he was forced to sleep on the floor using a coat as makeshift bedding.

Saxon claims that things took a turn for the worse in November 2021, when West demanded that Saxon remove all the windows and cut off the electricity supply. According to the suit, Saxon advised against this move, raising safety concerns.

He warned that this move posed an "extreme danger," especially after West insisted on bringing large generators inside. Saxon was concerned that the generators might cause a major fire and that it was not an advisable move.

Furthermore, Saxon claimed that West threatened him. West said he would consider Saxon his "enemy" if he did not follow his orders. The "Heartless" rapper said, "If you don't do what I say, you're not going to work for me." Saxon revealed that he refused to listen to West, who fired him from his job on the spot.

Saxon has mentioned in his lawsuit that he is suing his former employer over unpaid dues and labor code violations and wants West's wife, Censori, to testify in the legal battle.

West has denied all the allegations levied by his former employee. Moreover, the rapper alleged that Saxon worked according to his own will. He even requested the court to toss the lawsuit entirely.
