According tothe Daily Mail'sreport dated February 4, 2026, Andrew was ordered out of Royal Lodge early. However, he had been expected to move the following week. So, under the cover of darkness on Monday night, he traveled to Norfolk. A source said, "Charles said enough was enough and the message was conveyed to Andrew that it was time for him to head to Norfolk immediately." He is now staying at Wood Farm Cottage on the Sandringham estate.

Then the report said his long-term base will be Marsh Farm by early April, after renovations. The estate is privately owned by theKing. In turn, the source said, "He had to be removed from the public eye." The source added, "Questions were being asked in royal circles along the lines of 'what's he still doing here?' each time he appeared out riding." Still, the source said, "Someone less arrogant than Andrew would have read the room and kept his head down for a while, but that's not in his make-up, so something had to be done."

Yet the move also touches his family. He shares daughters Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie withSarah Ferguson, his former wife. The report said Ferguson's whereabouts "remain unknown." At the same time, it suggested Andrew may return to Windsor "from time to time" to clear belongings, since it could take "some time." Meanwhile, Prince William was tight-lipped and said, "I wish I could say more but I can't." Ultimately, King Charles and former Prince Andrew now keep their distance by design.

A White House official said the president called Savannah Guthrie, who co-hosts NBC's "Today" show. The call took place right after NBCinterviewedthe president on Wednesday, NBC said on its streaming platform.

Authorities are trying to figure out what happened to Nancy Guthrie, who went missing over the weekend. In anemotional videoreleased Wednesday night, Savannah Guthrie pleaded for her mother's return and addressed any possible abductor or abductors, saying, "We want to hear from you, and we are ready to listen. Please, reach out to us."

Authorities believe Nancy Guthrie was taken from her Tucson, Arizona, home, but say they haven't identified any suspects or persons of interest in the case, and it isn't clear how many people may have taken Guthrie.

Savannah Guthrie said she and her family are aware of reports of a ransom note. Multiple media organizations have reported receiving purported ransom notes, which they gave to investigators.

"We live in a world where voices and images are easily manipulated. We need to know without a doubt that she is alive and that you have her," Savannah Guthrie said in the video posted on social media.

Law enforcement is intensifying their search. Pima County sheriffs and the FBI returned to Nancy Guthrie's home Wednesday evening, putting up crime scene tape and combing through the property.

Former FBI agent Katherine Schweit — who worked on a similar case where an elderly woman in Wisconsin was kidnapped, held for ransom and eventually freed after five days — said "everybody is working as frantically as they can.""There are hundreds of people working on this," she said Thursday on "CBS Mornings."

According to Department of Homeland Security spokeswoman Tricia McLaughlin, U.S. Border Patrol's specialized search and rescue unit BORSTAR has provided support to Pima County officials handling the search.

The community in Tucson is holding on to hope. A few hundred people gathered at a church Wednesday evening for a vigil for Nancy Guthrie, hearing prayers and placing candles on an altar.

Cruz's latest Instagram clip comes after Victoria andDavid Beckham's son, Brooklyn, 26,made a series of shocking statements about his parentson his Instagram Stories last month.

"We are working in the same formats as yesterday: trilateral consultations, group work, and further synchronization of positions," said Rustem Umerov, Ukraine's National Security and Defense Council chief, who was present at the meeting.

The delegations from Moscow and Kyiv were joined in the capital of the United Arab Emirates by U.S. special envoy Steve Witkoff and U.S. President Donald Trump's son-in-law, Jared Kushner, according to Umerov. They were also at last month's talks in the same place as the Trump administration tries tosteer the two countriestoward a settlement.

General Alexus Grynkewich, NATO's Supreme Allied Commander in Europe, was also present at the talks, according to a spokesman for the general who spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss sensitive matters.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy urged allied countries to press Moscow into ending itsall-out invasion, which began almost four years ago on Feb. 24 2022, and said his country needs security guarantees to deter any postwar Russian attacks.

Ukrainians must feel that there is genuine progress toward peace and "not toward a scenario in which the Russians exploit everything to their advantage and continue their strikes," Zelenskyy said on social media late Wednesday.

Fighting has continued in parallel with the talks. Russia hashammered Ukraine's electricity network, aiming to deny civilians power and weaken their appetite for the fight, while a grinding war of attrition continues along the roughly 1,000-kilometer (600-mile)front linesnaking along eastern and southern parts of Ukraine.

Last year saw a 31% increase in Ukrainian civilian casualties compared with 2024, the advocacy group Human Rights Watch said in a report published Wednesday.

LONDON, Feb 5 (Reuters) - British Prime Minister Keir Starmer launched a fierce attack on his former U.S. ambassador Peter Mandelson on Thursday, seeking to assuage anger from across British politics and saying he was sorry he had believed ​his "lies" before appointing him.

Starmer is under huge pressure, including from lawmakers in his own Labour Party, over the decision to make Mandelson Britain's ‌ambassador to Washington in December 2024, when his ties to the late U.S. sex offender Jeffrey Epstein were already known.

Files released by the U.S. Justice Department last week included emails highlighting just ‌how close that relationship was, and also suggested Mandelson had leaked government documents to Epstein, and that Epstein had recorded payments to Mandelson or his then-partner, now husband.

PM'S POSITION UNDER THREAT

"It had been publicly known for some time that Mandelson knew Epstein, but none of us knew the depth and the darkness of that relationship," Starmer said at the outset of a speech in southern England.

Mandelson, a government minister when Labour was previously in power more than 15 years ago, quit his ⁠position in parliament's upper chamber, the House of Lords, ‌on Tuesday in the face of the uproar over his links to Epstein, and is now under police investigation for alleged misconduct in office.

Emails released by the U.S. Justice Department appeared to indicate that in 2009 Mandelson had sent the ‍financier a government memo about possible UK asset sales and tax changes, and in 2010 gave him advance notice of a European Union 500-billion-euro bailout package during the bloc's debt crisis.

Andrew Bailey, the governor of the Bank of England, was asked on Thursday how he felt about the apparent leaks, given they came at a time when most ​officials were working around the clock to stave off economic damage from the financial crash.

"I am shocked by what we're hearing," he said, adding, "How is ‌it that we live in a society in which this happened?"

British government borrowing costs rose on Thursday as concerns grew over whether Starmer could survive the fallout.

Mandelson has said he does not recall having received payments and has not commented publicly on allegations he leaked documents. He has not responded to messages seeking comment.

Starmer fired Mandelson last September, but his opponents and even those in his own party have said the new revelations posed major questions about his judgement. With polls suggesting Starmer is already hugely unpopular with the British public, some in his own party say his position is under threat.

'I WAS LIED ⁠TO'

Tackling the mounting criticism, he used his speech to angrily condemn Mandelson, saying the latest ​revelations raised serious questions. He accused Mandelson of not entering public service because he believed ​in serving the public good.

"I was lied to, lied to; deceit," he said. "I understand the anger and frustration among Labour MPs (members of parliament) about what has happened ... I actually share that anger and frustration, it was palpable yesterday. I'm not surprised."

Addressing Epstein's ‍victims he said: "I am sorry. Sorry for ⁠what was done to you, sorry that so many people with power failed you, sorry for having believed Mandelson's lies and appointing him."

Starmer said he wanted to release the security vetting advice that he was given when he selected Mandelson for the Washington role, but that he ⁠needed to abide by a police request not to do anything that could prejudice an investigation.

"However frustrating from my personal point of view that is - and it is - I will not take ‌any step, however politically tempting, however popular, that risks justice for victims."

On the fourth day since the morning show mom was allegedly abducted Jan. 31 from her sprawling home in the region's affluent Catalina Foothills, she was missing there too, as investigators revisited the home.

But her place in the community was fully present on Feb. 4 as anguished residents and supporters flocked to a nearby church, framed by the scenic Santa Catalina Mountains, for a vigil to pray for her safe return.

Her baffling disappearance has gripped the nation, leading many Americans to question how an octogenarian leading a sleepy life in the Southwest was taken while her neighbors were asleep. And why, since her disappearance, investigators have struggled to come up with answers.

And whether she'd be found before going too long without her vital daily medication.

'My mom still lives there'

Nearly three months before her mom vanished, "Today" show main anchor Savannah Guthrie kicked off a new segment, "Hometown Today," of NBC's marquee morning program on Nov. 5 last year.

The aim of the show was to give viewers a behind-the-scenes look of where the series' beloved anchors had grown up.

"Savannah, we're going to start with you," co-host Carson Daly said from the show's curvy couch. "You took us back to your old stomping grounds." Surrounded by her "Today family" – Craig Melvin, Jenna Bush Hager, Al Roker and Carson Daly – Guthrie said that she traveled back for an Arizona homecoming.

The Pima County Sheriff's Office in Arizona received a 911 call reportingNancy Guthrie missing from her home outside Tucsonaround noon local time on Sunday, Feb. 1.

"I grew up there, went to college there, my mom still lives there and honestly a part of me has really never left," Savannah Guthrie, 54, told viewers.

In a jean jacket and black dress, Savannah Guthrie walked through prickly pear cactus fields, even pausing to poke the thorny plants. She introduced herself, and viewers, to local muralist Joe Pagac. Guthrie went back to her alma mater The University of Arizona, greeting its president Suresh Garimella in one spoof and meeting sorority sisters at her own Pi Beta Phi in another skit.

Then she sat down for lunch at El Charro, a Mexican restaurant, with her mom and older sister, the 56-year-old poet Annie. The mother-daughter trio shared margaritas, as Guthrie sipped on prickly pear during the segment, and caught up with executive chef Carlotta Flores.

'We're just praying'

Back on Feb. 4, a dozen patrons stood in line at the same location,run by Flores since 1972. Waiters inside carried dishes during lunch rush, including Carlotta's Chicken Mole and shrimp tamales.

Flores comes in and out these days, and one of her sons said she wasn't there around 12:45 p.m.

"Everyone has their own opinions about (what happened), but when it comes right down to it, this is a lady who is missing," Flores told The New York Post. "It's their mother missing." That was felt all over the community, including at St. Andrew's, where the pastor was prepping to attend the vigil and staff were juggling nonstop calls.

It was at her church that a fellow churchgoer called Nancy Guthrie's family Sunday, Feb. 1 after she failed to attend a service there. Her home is about 12 minutes away, a short five mile drive in her close-knit, upper-class neighborhood.

Her "children left her off" at her home around 9:45 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 31, according to Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos. Then, the apparent abduction.

"We're just praying," a St. Andrew's' staffer told USA TODAY hours before the vigil, praying for good news while respecting the family's privacy.

Not far away, outside the Guthrie home around 5 p.m. Wednesday, neighbor Chris Wilkey said the move by investigators to return to the home only deepened the mystery.

'Soon as the sun goes down, everybody gets home'

Late in the afternoon, there was what appeared to be renewed law enforcement interest at the home of Nancy Guthrie. Crime scene tape was placed along the front of the residence. Investigators, one of whom wore a Pima County Sheriff's Department vest, took equipment out of plastic bins in a truck.

They entered the garage of the home and went in and out. When they left, they carried at least one box and large brown envelopes. The crime scene tape went down again after the investigators left.

The upscale neighborhood is sought after with its stucco homes and acre plots. Yards are landscaped with rock and cactuses; black bark Mesquite and palo verde trees line yards.

Wilkey, 50, said the area gets "very dark" at night and lacks streetlights – likely helping obscure whatever transpired — and making the case harder to crack. As the days tick by without any suspects, unknowns have put Wilkey's neighborhood on edge.

"Soon as the sun goes down, everybody gets home," he said.

'I love you'

When "Today" filmed at El Charro, Flores served Guthrie and her family Tequila in teacups, a tradition dating back to Prohibition when women playing cards would hide their liquor with a little help from dishware.

"Cheers, I love you," Savannah Guthrie said, before quipping "don't drink the whole thing" to her mom. She then turned and asked, why she'd moved to Tucson.

"It's so wonderful – just the air, the quality of life is laid back and gentle," Nancy Guthrie said. "I like to watch the javelina eat my plants," she added to laughs from her daughters, referring to the pig-like animals.

A widow who seemingly lived alone, Nancy Guthrie moved to the area in the 1970s alongside her late husband Charleswho suffered a fatal heart attack when Guthrie was 16. "The best part about Tucson is coming home and seeing you guys," Savannah Guthrie told her mom and sister.

They clinked their margs in tall glasses, and the show shifted back on the curvy white couch in Studio 1A at NBC's 30 Rock headquarters in New York City.

Savannah Guthrie surprised her four "Today" co-stars with Tequila and teacups gifted from Flores and El Charro. "And as my mother said, it's quite smooth," Guthrie told the group. "Cheers!" former first daughter Jenna Bush Hager proclaimed. "For Nancy!"

At 6 p.m., as the sun was dipping behind mountains, several hundred residents streamed into St. Philip's in the Hills Episcopal Church.

They were there for a candlelight invocation and prayer service. Organizers said it was meant to raise voices for Nancy Guthrie and her family.

In a mostly hushed service, supporters and worshipers held lit candles, reciting the Lord's Prayer and walking single file to the altar as quiet organ hymns filled the sanctuary. "Bring her swiftly to safety for those who she loves," a service leader said in prayer.

"From the love of family to the familiar beauty of the scenery, I will always be a daughter of the desert," Savannah Guthrie said. But the scenery she loved so much conjured the backdrop of her mother's disappearance.
