Everybody Hates Chrisis a semi-autobiographical comedy inspired by Chris Rock's teenage years growing up in 1980s Brooklyn.
The show, which aired in 2005, followed young Chris, played by Tyler James Williams, as he navigated school, family chaos and the everyday struggles of being a kid with big dreams.
