She achieved world dominance in the pool, but not Aussie Olympian Stephanie Rice has been dealt a heavy dose of reality Rice dominated the pool at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, winning three gold medals and setting world records in the 200m and 400m individual medley events, as well as the 4x200m freestyle relay. But she was forced to retired from competitive swimming in 2014 after a shoulder injury hampered her performance in the 2012 London Olympics.
