Sabrina Carpenter to join Kermit, pals on stage for 'The Muppet Show'

Kermit the Frogand his gaggle of pals,including Sabrina Carpenter, have something exciting coming soon.

"The Muppet Show," a brand-new special event filled with "music and comedy," is debuting Feb. 4, 2026.

With the "Espresso" singer on board, as The Muppets take the stage at the original Muppet Theater, a "whole lot of chaos is bound to ensue," Disney announced on Thursday, Dec. 18.

While this version of "The Muppet Show" might be new to viewers around the world, the original series aired in over 100 countries for five years, from 1976 through 1981.

Some pretty famous faces graced the show in its run, including Elton John, Johnny Cash, Diana Ross, Debbie Harry, Gladys Knight, Liza Minelli and Paul Simon, among "many others."

According to Disney, Jim Henson's award-winning creation was once called "the most popular television entertainment now being produced on Earth." The original series will celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2026.

"The Muppet Show" will be available to stream on Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2026, on Disney+. Details about if, and when, the show will be broadcast live "will come in the new year."
