"And just like that…the ongoing storytelling of theSex and the Cityuniverse is coming to an end," writer and director Michael Patrick King said in anInstagrampost at the time. "While I was writing the last episode ofAnd Just Like That…season 3, it became clear to me that this might be a wonderful place to stop."
He continued, "SJP and I held off announcing the news until now because we didn't want the word 'final' to overshadow the fun of watching the season. It's with greatgratitudewe thank all the viewers who have let these characters into their homes and their hearts over these many years."
While King's statement appears to be the definitive end to the beloved franchise, Davis admitted she has not watched the finale.
"I'm in denial and I would like to remain that way," she told Cantone. "This is not based on anything real. In my mind, we're going to do something else. I don't think it'll be a whole season, but I think we will do something else. But obviously, no one knows who owns us right now, you know. So there's that that's got to be worked."
