The allegations began when Rose responded toa Threads post by Complex Music Threadsmentioning Perry. Rosereplied to the post, writing, "Katy Perry sexual assaulted me at spice market nightclub in Melbourne. Who gives a s--- what she thinks."

Rose went on to respond to various commenters, detailing the alleged incident throughout several followup posts. When one user referenced Perry's "I Kissed a Girl" song and wrote, "she kissed a girl and you didn't like it,"Rose alleged: "She didn't kiss me. She saw me 'resting' on my best friends lap to avoid her and bent down, pulled her underwear to the side and rubbed her disgusting vagina on my face until my eyes snapped open and I projectile vomitted on her."[sic]

"I was only in my early 20s. I'm now 40. It has taken almost 2 decades to say this publicly," Roseclaimed in another post. "Though I am so grateful to have made it long enough to find my voice, it just shows how much of an impact trauma and sexual assault takes. Thank you for seeing me."

Replying to a user who wanted more details,Rose further claimed: "After it I threw up on her. I told the story publicly but changed it to be a 'funny little drunk story' because I didn't know how else to handle it. Later she agreed to help me get my US visa. So I kept it a secret. But I DID tell yall she wasn't a good person. Instead I got attacked by.. everyone."

She alsoresponded to another userwho told the Australian actor that they believed her. "Before I open up about something incredibly raw and traumatic, I tell myself 'it's ok, you don't need people to believe you, you just need to get it out of your poor body, before it gives you cancer,'" Rose wrote. "But then I see this post and ... tears consume me, in a good way. Thank you."

A user pointed out that Rose and Perry have publicly feuded before over the singer's "Swish Swish" song, and asked why the actress never filed a police report over the alleged incident. Rose responded that she wasn't "interested" in filing a police report "when I haven’t even filed a report for the numerous rapes at the hands of grown men."

"But she is more than welcome to sue me (she won’t, because it happened, I have photos and it was literally in public and witnessed by multiple people)," theOrange is the New Blackstar further alleged. "Plus there is so much more that happened in the years leading up to her silly song she won’t want me discussing. The psychological manipulation was strong with that one."

Shortly after the posts went up, Rosewrotethat she would go to a police station to see if an investigation into "any of my experiences" of assault could be done, alluding to incidents beyond the Perry allegation. "I imagine they are past their statute of limitations, but all the more reason to try. I have a long list."

She added that she has been hesitant to report her experiences as she has "been too wounded and afraid to take the appropriate steps because I know the system seldom works."

EW has reached out to Rose's reps for comment.
