Nikita Hand WINS £1.25m costs from Conor McGregor in landmark ruling after he 'scandalised' Irish High Court and 'attacked the jury' by calling her a 'liar' in wild social media rant after losing rape case
Conor McGregor was humiliated today after he was ordered to pay Nikita Hand's entire £1.25million (€1.5m) costs for bringing a civil rape claim against him. McGregor, who must also hand her £210,000 (€250,000) in damages, may also face further punishment including a severe fine because the MMA star branded her a 'vicious liar' after losing the civil case in Dublin 13 days ago. In a landmark ruling this afternoon, Ms Hand will also not have to pay his friend James Lawrence's legal costs, even though she lost her claim against him for assault.

Kai Havertz claims quitting Chelsea for rivals Arsenal was 'the best thing he's ever done'
Kai Havertz has called his decision to move across London from Chelsea to Arsenal 'the best decision' of his career in a new interview. The Gunners forward arrived at the start of the 2023-24 season as Mikel Arteta's side sort to sharpen their attack in preparation for another title-chasing campaign. The Germany international took a little time to settle at the Emirates, perhaps somewhat burdened by his £65million price tag and hungover from a mixed stint at Stamford Bridge where multiple managers had stuggled to find the right position to play the forward in.

Julen Lopetegui is expected to stay in charge of West Ham for Monday's clash against Wolves but still faces a fight to keep his job. The Spaniard is under huge pressure at the London Stadium following a poor start to the season. The Hammers hierarchy have held crunch talks today to decide Lopetegui's future, with the prospect of sacking their head coach seriously considered. However, as first revealed on Mail Sport's social media channels on Thursday, it is understood that Lopetegui will remain in charge for next week's game against Wolves - which will now become pivotal in determining the 58-year-old's future at the club.

Return of the European Super League: '60 top clubs ready to sign up - with English teams expected to be willing to join' in revival of controversial plans which sparked mass protests in 2021
European football risks another identity crisis with roughly 60 clubs reportedly willing to take part in a renewed push to establish a Super League. Real Madrid and Barcelona are the focal point behind the A22-led project and it is said to have won over several influential English clubs. The proposal is for a three-tier competition to start in either September 2025 or 2026 and to run midweek alongside domestic divisions, which would surely signal the collapse of the Champions League, Europa League, and Conference League.
