James Vince was denied the chance to score a Big Bash century after Andrew Tye’s controversial wide ball ended the game as Sydney Sixers smashed Perth Scorchers to reach the final.
Vince said: ‘Only he will know (if the wide was intentional). A hundred would have been nice but I was happy to be there at the end and now to be in the final.
‘It’s amazing for us to get back to the SCG after being on the road for so long. We’ve had some games that were straightforward and some were tight to get over the line.
‘Two more runs would have been nice but it’s nice to get over the line.’
