Newcastle defender Kieran Trippier attracting interest from Turkish champions Galatasaray
Galatasaray are keen to sign former Newcastle captain Kieran Trippier. Ex-Tottenham star Trippier featured for the Magpies as a 64th-minute substitute in Saturday's 2-1 home defeat by Newcastle but he is not been a first-team regular under Eddie Howe this season. Trippier, who lost the role of Newcastle captain to Bruno Guimaraes in August, has only started five of the team's 24 Premier League matches this term. Newcastle would be able to sell or loan Trippier to Galatasaray up until February 11, as the transfer window in Turkey closes eight days later than it does in England.
