Pat Finn has died at the age of 60.
The actor died on Monday, Dec. 22 following a battle with cancer,TMZfirst reported.Finn was best known for his role on the ABC sitcomThe Middle,in which he played Bill Norwood from 2011 until its conclusion in 2018.
He also appeared in hit '90s sitcoms includingSeinfeld,playing Joe Mayo andFriends, playing Monica (Courteney Cox)'s boyfriend Dr. Roger.
He had a main role onThe George Wendt Showas Dan Coleman in 1995 and a part inMurphy Brownas Phil Jr. from '95-'97.

The outlet reported that he died at his home in Los Angeles surrounded by his family. Finn is survived by his wife of 35 years, Donna, and their three children.
According to a statement from his rep obtained by theNew York Post, Finn "battled bladder cancer in 2022 and went into remission, but the cancer returned and metastasized. He was a warrior in every sense of the word."
Tributes for Finn flooded in after news of his death broke on Wednesday, Dec. 24, including aheartwarming post from one of his daughters, Cassidy.
"Dad… you were and are a role model and an inspiration to everyone you met. I tried to think of a word to describe you, but no word could ever do it justice. You are Pat Finn," she wrote on Instagram alongside a series of photos of them from her childhood.

"The least shocking thing was hearing the nurses say they have never seen so many people show up at a hospital for someone. That was my dad," she continued. "My life is forever changed because of him. He taught me to be funny, positive, humble, to listen, to always try my best, to love, and to surround myself with the best people. But most importantly—you taught me kindness."
Cassidy concluded: "I've never met a single person who had a bad thing to say about my dad. I feel like the luckiest person in the world that I got to call you my dad. Can't wait to drink an Old Style with you again one day. I love you 10, Dad. Ok. :)"

ComedianJeff Dyealso honored his late friend, sharinga message on Xand a photo of him laughing as he tried to carry Finn on his shoulders.
"I don't like to be the guy who post pics with celebrities that pass," Dye began. "But this guy wasn't just a celebrity to me. He was a friend. One of the best dudes I knew with a PERFECT sense of humor. I love you Pat Finn and I'll see again in the after , we can sing together and shake our heads about all the meannes in the used to be."

Finn attended Marquette University in 1987, where he played rugby with the lateSaturday Night Livestar,Chris Farley. The pair became roommates after graduating when they moved to Chicago to join the iconic Second City comedy troupe.
