Watch Darius Rucker serenade travelers at Nashville airport

Country starDarius Ruckerwas recently spotted getting into the holiday spirit at Nashville International Airport.

The former "Hootie & the Blowfish" singer gifted passersby with a spontaneous song, taking the mic at one of the airport's restaurants.

In the video clip, Rucker is sitting down in a chair behind a microphone and appears to be singingMiranda Lambert's 2008 hit "More Like Her."

"Walking in the Nashville airport means seeing Darius Rucker singing one song and maybe 15 people stopping," one TikTok user said on Dec. 22. "Like why did no one stop?"

A star on the Music City Walk of Fame

Rucker, a Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter, officially moved to Nashville in 2020, trading his lifelong home in South Carolina to live in the heart of country music.

He's released hits including "Wagon Wheel" and become a Music City staple, ingraining himself deeply in the Nashville community.

He hosts an annual charity benefit "Darius & Friends" for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, serves on the National Museum of African American Music board andhas a star on the Music City Walk of Fame.

Rucker is also a member of the Grand Ole Opry, joining the official cast in 2012.
