Prince William Introduces George, Charlotte and Louis to a Princess Diana Superfan at Royal Christmas Walk

Prince Williammade a point of introducing his children to a royalist who is a fan of his late mother,Princess Diana, during the royal family's church outing on Christmas.

On Dec. 25, the Prince of Wales, 43, called to royalist John Loughrey by name and introduced him to his children, Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, 7, after the Morning Service at Church of St. Mary Magdalene on the Sandringham Estate.

"John, how are you?" the heir to the throne said after he spotted Loughrey in the crowd and walked over to talk to him. The two shook hands, exchanged Christmas wishes and William said, "Louis, come say hi to John."

"Hello," said Prince Louis and shook hands with the well-wisher, William introduced "George, John," and Princess Charlotte said "Happy Christmas."

Loughrey, 70, then shook George's hand and shared a heartfelt message.

"George, I've got something to say to you. Nanny Diana would be ever so proud of you. Proud of you all," the superfan said about Prince William's late mother, Princess Diana, who died following a car accident in Paris at age 36 in 1997.

"Thank you," Prince George said with a smile.

"That's very kind of you, John," Prince William added.

Loughrey is a true fan of the British royal family and has camped out for events includingroyal baby births,important royal engagementsandChristmas walkabouts at Sandringham. The royalist has met the Prince of Wales before and recently connected with him when William stepped out to commemorate20 years as Patron of Centrepoint, the homelessness charity he follows Diana in championing, on Dec. 9.

TheDaily Mailreported that he was first in line to greet the royals on Christmas Day and brought along a portrait of himself painted in honor of Princess Diana, which he hoped to give to William, and hinted that he wouldn't miss the holiday occasion.

"There's something special about sharing Christmas Day with the royals at Sandringham," Loughrey told the outlet.

The TikTok clip then cut to Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis with their arms full of gifts from well-wishers — including a giant teddy bear for Louis!

"This is the same size as you, Louis!" Prince William said, which made everyone laugh. Still chatting with the Prince of Wales and his children from behind the camera, Loughrey said, "George is going to be tall, going to be about 6 '4." "

Prince William replied with a smile, "One day. Very happy Christmas," and Loughrey shared one last message for Prince George.

"George, give our best to all your family. And Diana would be ever so proud," he said, shaking his hand.

Prince George follows his father in the direct line of succession to the throne and his parents areslowly immersing him in royal duties in a gradual way. On Dec. 16, hejoined William at The Passage to help the charity prepare its annual holiday lunchfor the unhoused.

The Prince of Wales is Royal Patron of The Passage and became familiar with the organization after Princess Diana took him there when he was a young boy, around George's age today.

In a poignant touch, the young prince signed the visitors' book on the same page where his late grandmother Diana and father William previously wrote their names.
