During an intimate conversation with Kate Hudson, Demi Moore reflected on her previous relationship with Bruce Willis

While speaking withKate Hudsonduring a Q&A at a special screening of Hudson's latest filmSong Sung Blueat Soho House in Los Angeles on Wednesday, Jan. 7, theSubstancestar, 63, revealed how the movie held a special place in her heart.
"This is a little personal thing, but Bruce always had every week,Neil DiamondDay," Moore,who was married to the actor, 70, from 1987 until 2000, told Hudson, 46.

The former couple sharethree daughters—Rumer, 37,Scout, 34, andTallulah, 31.
Diamond released the song "Song Sung Blue," which inspired the film's title, in 1972. Hudson stars alongsideHugh Jackmanas they portray real-life couple Mike and Claire Sardina, who had a Neil Diamond cover band calledLightning & Thunder.
"Watching the movie just kept reminding me of when he would blast Neil Diamond, and I'd say, 'What's going on?' " Moore recalled of Willis, adding, "And he said, 'No, it's Neil Diamond Day.' "
She recalled, according to theDaily Mail,that Willis "played Neil throughout the day. He kept on doing that for years. He was a huge Neil fan. And so am I!"
"And you know, to your point, the generosity of what this film is, what your performance is, Hugh's, also the kids, I thought were extraordinary," theStripteasestar continued.
Leonardo DiCaprio,Al Pacino,Mark Ruffaloand directorDavid O'Russellalso attended Wednesday's private event.
As for Moore and Willis, the former couple have remained close friends over the years.

"I still love Demi. We're very close. We have three children whom we will continue to raise together, and we're probably as close now as we ever were. We realize we have a lifelong commitment to our kids. Our friendship continues. The institution has been set aside," Willis, whomarried wife Emma Heming Willisin 2009, toldRolling Stonein December 2000.
Moore attended their wedding with her then-husbandAshton Kutcher.
"We've become like a tribe," theSixth Sensestar toldWmagazinein June 2009 after marrying Heming Willis, with whom he shares two daughters.
