Camila Cabellois still haunted by the ghost ofquismoispast.
In aTikTok videoposted on Wednesday, Dec. 24, the "June Gloom" singer answered a question regarding herWhite House performance in 2021, where she went viral for the way she pronounced "Christmas" in a song.
"Why do you pronounce Christmas like that?" the video reads.
Mouthing the words to an existing sound with a crowd laughing in the background, Cabello, 28, said, "No, no, but it's not funny at the end of the day, is it? It's serious."
"December is a triggering time for me," she captioned the video of herself in front of a Christmas tree.
This isn't the first time Cabello addressed the performance. In 2022, the "Hot Uptown" singer shared a video where she poked fun at the memes by coaching herself on "phrasing." While in character as a vocal coach, she sang "I'll Be Home for Christmas" and enunciated the "Christmas." She then asked herself to give it a try.
Dressed in another change of clothing, Cabello sang the same lyrics — but seemed to come back to "quismois." After making several attempts to pronounce it the right way, she surrendered and said, "It's gonna be great."
"me before recording my version of I'll be home for christmas (quismois)," she captioned the video.
At the time, Cabello released her cover of the song, which was popularized by Bing Crosby after he recorded it in 1943, on all streaming platforms.

Since then, the pop star has kept a relatively low profile. Earlier this month, she saidtold her followers on Instagramshe had been "awol" because she's doing a digital detox.
"this digital detox has been doing wonders for me. I felt the instinct to delete all social media and news and media apps from my phone (except Letterboxd hehe)- and am recharging my spirit with novels and films, and not trying to fill in every second of silence with a podcast or music or vlog lol," she wrote. "at first the restlessness was relentless, but now I notice so much more spaciousness in my mind and spirit - I'm so curious to keep creating music from this place next year."
"that's why I've been a bit awol, but i miss you guys , and love you, and hope you're taking care of yourselves here's what I've been up to," she continued.
