New details surrounding thedeath of TikTok star Malik Taylorhave been revealed.

According to toxicology and medical examiner reports obtained by PEOPLE, the 28-year-old content creator was under the influence of alcohol at the time of his death. He was found by police on the morning of Aug. 20 in an overturned Nissan Rogue SUV that had plunged 20 feet from the road in Concord, N.C., Concord Police Department Public Affairs and Project Manager Lindsay Mansonconfirmed to PEOPLEat the time.

"Law enforcement noted open containers of alcohol in the car and a strong smell of alcohol coming from the car," the medical examiner's report stated, adding that "no drugs were found in the car" and there are "no concerns for foul play."

An initial investigation ruled out foul play, and police suspected alcohol was a "contributing factor" at the time, Manson previously told PEOPLE.

Per the toxicology report, Taylor had well above the 0.08% legal limit for driving in the U.S. at the time of his death.

Taylor maintained a following of over 250,000 followers on TikTok, where he was known for his comedic pop culture commentary and "POV"-style skits.

His death was first announced by his business fraternity Alpha Kappa Psi, of which he was a member at Austin Peay State University, in anAug. 20 Facebook post.

"It is with heavy hearts that we share our beloved Brother, Malik Taylor, has gone to 'Audit Eternal,' " their post read. "To know him was to know he was a light to everyone — always bringing laughter, joy, and a warm smile that brightened every room he entered."

The fraternity added: "Brother Taylor embodied the values of brotherhood, unity, and compassion. His ability to uplift others, share kindness, and spread joy will forever remain in our memories. Though your time with us was far too short, you were a good and faithful Brother, and the "Great Auditor" will reward you for your everlasting work. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, and all who loved him."

In astatement shared through the fraternity, Taylor's family remembered the late content creator as a "beloved son, brother, nephew, and friend."

"It is with love and gratitude that we, the family of Malik Taylor, acknowledge the incredible support and kindness shown following his untimely passing due to a tragic vehicle accident," wrote Taylor's family. "His creativity, humor, and spirit touched countless lives, and his legacy of inspiring, entertaining, and uplifting others will continue to live on."

The statement continued: "We are deeply grateful for the outpouring of love from the community that has embraced him. Your encouragement and support mean more than words can ever express."

Only a day before Taylor's death, heposted a videoon his TikTok account about his recent move from Memphis, Tenn., to Charlotte, N.C.

Earlier in the summer, Taylor had celebrated his 28th birthday, marking the occasion by sharing a carousel of photos.

"Survived the 27 club (Barely)," wrote the late influencer the month before his death. "Only right I celebrate my 28th likes it's the party of the century. Call me Malik Gatsby 😉 Cheers to the rest of my roaring 20s Old Sport 🥂."
