The Australian Open gets underway on Monday after the unusual build-up and preparation for players who have been quarantining since arriving in Melbourne.
The global pandemic has created a unique tournament this year, but the Australian Open still goes ahead, which can’t be said about every sporting event over the last year.
There may be no Roger Federer or Andy Murray this year. but there are plenty of big names to enjoy over the next two weeks’ of action.
Novak Djokovic goes in as the favourite to win the men’s singles, while Naomi Osaka is the favourite in the women’s singles.
When is the Australian Open?
The event runs from 8 February, with the women’s final on 20 and men’s final on 21 Feb.
8-9 February – Men’s and women’s singles first round
10-11 February – Men’s and women’s singles second round
12-13 February – Men’s and women’s singles third round
14-15 February – Men’s and women’s singles fourth round
16-17 February – Men’s and women’s singles quarter-finals
18 February – Women’s semi-finals and first men’s semi-final
19 February – Second men’s semi-final
20 February – Women’s final
21 February – Men’s final

Eurosport is showing the tournament live in the UK and streaming is available through the Eurosport Player.
Coverage begins at midnight UK time on Monday 8 February.
