School Spiritsis back for season 3, with even more secrets haunting the halls of Split River High.
The supernatural drama follows Maddie Nears (Peyton List) as she navigates the afterlife alongside fellow teen spirits — like charming jock Wally Clark (Milo Manheim) — all trapped between life and death within the halls of Split River High.
As Maddie continues searching for answers about her disappearance, her connection to the living world — including best friend Simon Elroy (Kristian Ventura) — grows more complicated. Now in season 3,School Spiritsplunges Maddie and her friends into darker mysteries as haunting visions, Mr. Martin's (Josh Zuckerman) buried secrets and Simon's dangerous obsession with Split River High's past push them closer to the truth — and closer to real peril.
In January 2026, Nick Pugliese, who portrays Charlie, toldColliderthat the third edition amps up the horror.
"I think everyone has had the question for all three seasons of why are so many kids dead at this school? We start to explore that, and the answers are not fun. They're spooky," he said.

The first three episodes ofSchool Spiritsseason 3 premiered on Jan. 28.
While speaking toScreen Rantahead of the premiere, co-creator Nate Trinrud teased that season 3 pushes the story into much darker territory, digging deeper into Split River High's long-buried secrets.
"In season 1, we really focused on Maddie and the things that haunted her. In season 2, we really got to learn more about the ghosts at school and what was haunting all of them. This year, one of the big questions is, 'What's haunting Split River?' " he shared.
"I think that we can safely say that anybody who wanted a few more scares will get them this season," Trinrud added.
