The father of Olympic marathon star Rebecca Cheptegei has spoken out following her death. Cheptegei was allegedly doused in petrol and set on fire by her ex-boyfriend during a row at her home over the weekend, and has now succumbed to her injuries. The 33-year-old, who finished 44th in the marathon at the Paris Olympics last month, suffered burns to 80 per cent of her body in Sunday's brutal attack, according to medical officials.

Manchester United's wages for the 2024-25 season have been revealed with three players currently earning more than £300,000 a week. Captain Bruno Fernandes penned a new three-year deal last month, bringing him in line with the club's highest earners after he previously was on a £240,000 a week deal. With this, he joins Brazilian midfielder Casemiro at the top of the list on £375,000 a week. While Fernandes is arguably the star of the team, former Real Madrid star Casemiro has struggled since the start of last season.
