Cristiano Ronaldo hints at retirement as Portuguese superstar insists he doesn't 'have much time left on the pitch' and claims 'it is not important to me now to be the best player or to win awards'

Cristiano Ronaldo has hinted that he's nearing retirement after his latest strike for Al-Nassr. Ronaldo, 39, is one of the greatest footballers to ever play the game, with the Portuguese superstar having scored 904 career goals. The forward has represented the likes of Manchester United, Real Madrid and Juventus, while he has also netted 132 goals in 214 caps for Portugal. Ronaldo - who has also won five Ballon d'Ors - now plays for Saudi Arabian side Al-Nassr where he has added 64 goals and 17 assists in just 71 games.

Mario Balotelli is reportedly reviewing an offer from Alicante-based team CF Intercity in the third tier of Spanish football. The 34-year-old has been a free agent since leaving Adana Demirspor in Turkey this summer. Balotelli scored seven goals in 16 games in the Turkish Super Lig last season, before he was sent off in his final appearance of the campaign. The 36-time Italy international - who last represented his country in 2018 - has so far played for 11 different teams during a turbulent club career - Lumezzane, Inter Milan, City, AC Milan, Liverpool, Nice, Marseille, Brescia, Monza, Sion and Adana.
