Legendary Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has resigned as the director of his personal company. His business, ACF Sports Promotions Ltd, has accumulated £24.3m in assets and investments. Some of those assets include a sporting memorabilia collection estimated to be worth over £2m which is on display in various museums and universities. The business also has a £19m investment portfolio and cash reserves of £5.1m. Ferguson had launched the company in 1983 when he was manager of Aberdeen, three years before he would go on to start his 26-year Man United reign.

The 52-year-old has talked of the difficulty of finding a coaching role since his 2023 dismissal, which ended with the Sydney club being ordered to pay Yorke almost $300,000 in compensation following a Court of Arbitration for Sport ruling that he'd been sacked unfairly.
